The Mason Bee Company

Born right here in the Lower Mainland, The Mason Bee Company was created to inspire and educate the public about the benefits of Mason Bees and increase your garden’s productivity. All Mason Bee products are made in South Surrey in a small workshop. The homes are made from cedar or spruce and are glued and nailed, therefore they are very sturdy.

The Mason Bee Company continues to be a highlight of each spring, with nature-enthusiasts from across the Lower Mainland making use of their expertly constructed Mason Bee Homes, and most popular of all; Mason Bee Cocoons!

Mason Bee Cocoons must be kept dormant in the fridge until it's warm enough for them to be put outside, and as such are only available in-store!  We love to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for Mason Bees, so if you're curious about some of our hardest-working garden friends, come pay us a visit and learn how they can help your garden flourish.

The Mason Bee Company bee boxes are also set up in parks and public locations! Here are a few places you can spot Mason Bees hard at work and creating excitement thanks to The Mason Bee Company:

  • The Quay Quayside Drive - New Westminster
  • Queens Park - New Westminster
  • Hawthorne Park - Surrey

Chin Ridge Seeds

We're proud to have been working with Chin Ridge for a very long time to bring you high quality seeds while supporting Canadian farmers and workers. Located in southern Alberta, all Chin Ridge's seed blends are mixed and packaged on their farm.

Their ingredients are thoughtfully sourced from as many Canadian farmers and manufacturers as possible, however some ingredients are imported (like peanuts and tree nuts) if they're either not produced commercially in Canada, or are not produced in a great enough volume to meet their needs.

Chin Ridge strives to not only support as many Canadian companies as they can, but also to work as locally as possible to reduce their overall freight environmental footprint.

All of our No-Mess Blends, Sunflower Chips, Deluxe Blend, Supreme Blend, Black-Oil Sunflower, Finch Mix & Thistle seeds are proudly from Chin Ridge!

Wren Images - Photo Cards

Crisp and clear photos of our favorite birds are on full display here courtesy of the skills of Vancouver Island photographer Mark Wynja.

Cards are blank on the inside to allow for full creativity of address, and a borderless photo makes use of every millimeter of the front. On the back of the card you'll find Mark Wynja has not only named the subject of the photo, but the location the photo was taken.

Each card comes with one crisp, white envelope.

Kathy King - Photo Cards

Vancouver photographer Kathy King specializes in capturing our local hummingbirds from every angle.

Her hard-earned skills are made clear here with each of her cards offering a unique glimpse into the lives and behaviours of BC's smallest bird!

Each card is printed with a borderless photo adorning the front, and comes wrapped with an envelope. The back of each card is printed with the type of bird, and the city it was photographed in.

Charles van Sandwyk - Fine Art Cards

Instantly recognisable, Vancouver artist Charles van Sandwyk creates the whimsical and wonderful, depicting nature, birds and other animals in a way usually reserved for the most beloved of fairy tales.

Each art card is designed with the art print framed front and center on a luxuriously thick cardstock backing. The colour of each card's cardstock is selected to match the print, so to make writing in it easier the inside of each card also features a piece of unbleached paper attached to it.

The back of the cards are printed with Charles van Sandwyk's just as artful personal seal, and each comes with a thick envelope.
